      Curatorial Note
    Queer memory often survives in fragments—in glitches, scraps, and oblique encodings. ANOINTING enters this lineage by transforming intimate photographic scenes into ASCII text, a visual language once designed for functional communication. Here, that code becomes affective: a veil of language encoding desire and tactility.
The choice of material—obsolete paper, mechanical printing—further embeds the work in the aesthetics of failure, nostalgia, and survival. This is not documentation; it is translation. A sacred, unreadable liturgy.
